Housing Application Process:

Current Students:

The TigerDen Housing Portal is available to ALL current students.  If you use the room search feature and do not find a room, please continue with completing the application and one will be assigned for you.

Summer School and Summer Housing applications are available on the portal.  No Reservation Fee is required.

Incoming Students:
The Housing Portal is open to all incoming students who paid the Admissions Acceptance Fee.  The Housing Portal will be updated by the close of business daily with any newly confirmed students.

ALL Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors are REQUIRED to live on campus.  Details are below.


Fall 2017-Spring 2018 Housing Options:

From large and traditional to small and cozy, traditional dorm to a cooperative community in the suites, Morehouse’s residence house system includes traditional residence houses, theme communities, and apartment style suites. Morehouse College does not have fraternity houses.

Residence houses at Morehouse are inclusive, supportive environments for making new friends and learning as much as you possibly can! Our buildings vary in character and vintage, but all are geared towards fostering strong communities. They house between 40 and 300 students.

Housing Options for Incoming Freshmen are:

1. Brazeal House
2. Dubois House
3. Hubert House
4. Living Learning Center

Housing Options for Rising Sophomores 2017 are:

  1. Otis Moss Suites - Sophomores will be eligible for the West Suites if they have no major conduct violations.  Rooms will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Perdue House

Housing Options for Rising Juniors and Seniors 2017 are:

  1. Mays House
  2. Otis Moss Suites - Junior and Seniors will be eligible for the East Suites if they have no major conduct violations.  Rooms will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.

SENIORS (4th year at Morehouse or higher) are not required to live on campus.

Core Single rooms will not be offered in any house for any classification for Fall 2017. 

*For students with a documented disability or medical condition should contact the Disability Services Coordinator in the Center for Counseling and Disability Services located in Sale Hall Annex. Submitting a case for a single room does not guarantee placement even if you are approved. Spaces are very limited.

Summer 2017 Housing Options:

Summer School and Summer Session students will be housed in Mays Hall.  Rooms are double occupancy.

Summer School students who choose to reside on campus will be required to have a meal plan.

Summer Session (non-summer school) housing will be available to CURRENT Morehouse students who need to remain in Atlanta for the purpose of work, internship, or research in the metro Atlanta area.  Space is limited and is not guaranteed.  Students in Summer Session housing will be billed $22/day for the room.  Meal plans are not available.


Three Year Live on Requirement

Morehouse College has a three year live on requirement that applies to ALL New Students/Transfer/Current students class of 2019 or greater.This requirement means that you are required to live on campus until your senior year at the College.

If you are a Freshmen, Sophomore, or Junior and would like to live off campus you must complete the three year exemption request form. Click HERE to complete the form.

*Exemption Requests will be processed beginning May 30th.  Decisions will be sent via email.  Please do not sign any leases for off campus housing until you are approved. Pre-signing a lease will not automatically exempt you from the live on requirement.
